Marinade:
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 Tbsp soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 Tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- Freshly cracked pepper
- 1 Tbsp cooking oil
Chicken:
- 8 boneless, skinless chicken thighs (about 1.75 lbs total)
- 1/2 Tbsp cooking oil
Garnishes (optional):
- 2 green onions
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
Instructions
- Prepare the Marinade: Mince the garlic and grate the ginger. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, pepper, and cooking oil. Marinate chicken in this mixture for at least 30 minutes.
- Cook the Chicken: Heat a skillet, cook chicken until browned and cooked through. Remove from skillet.
- Make the Glaze: Pour leftover marinade into skillet, boil to reduce to a thick glaze. Add chicken back to skillet and coat with glaze. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
