Description

Cool down with a refreshing glass of Southern Strawberry Sweet Iced Tea. This fruity twist on classic sweet tea is perfect for hot summer days or anytime you need a sweet, chilled beverage.

Ingredients

Units Scale

Tea:

  • 45 family-size tea bags (Luzianne recommended)
  • 6 cups water, divided

Strawberry Juice:

  • 4 cups ripe strawberries, hulled
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

Garnish (Optional):

  • Frozen or fresh strawberries
  • Mint leaves

Instructions

  1. Boil Water: In a small pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil or use the microwave.
  2. Steep Tea: Remove from heat, add tea bags, and let steep for 10 minutes; discard bags.
  3. Prepare Strawberry Juice: Dice strawberries, puree in a processor, strain, and reserve the juice.
  4. Mix Ingredients: In a large pitcher, combine tea, strawberry juice, and sugar; stir until sugar dissolves.
  5. Add Water: Mix in 4 cups of cold water.
  6. Chill and Serve: Refrigerate until cold, serve over ice, and garnish with strawberries or mint.

Notes

  • Adjust sugar to taste based on strawberry sweetness.
  • For a stronger tea flavor, steep tea bags longer.
