  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons Kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

Main Ingredients:

  • 3 pounds baby back pork ribs
  • 1/2 yellow onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Your favorite BBQ sauce, about 1 cup or to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare Ribs: Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs. Pat dry with paper towel.
  2. Season Ribs: Combine dry rub ingredients and rub all over the ribs.

  4. Broil Ribs: Brush ribs with BBQ sauce and broil for 2-4 minutes until caramelized.
  5. Serve: Enjoy with additional BBQ sauce and onions from the slow cooker.

Notes

  • Choose baby back ribs for leaner, curvier cuts ideal for the slow cooker.
  • Remove membrane before cooking for better texture.
  • Use a 6-quart slow cooker for a 3-4 pound rack of ribs.
  • Cut ribs into pieces if needed for better fit in the slow cooker.
  • Store leftover ribs in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
