			Popcorn
- 10 cups popped popcorn (about 3 – 2.03-ounce bags)
Slime Coating
- ½ cup packed brown sugar
- ¼ cup butter
- 1 16-ounce bag marshmallows
- Green food coloring, as desired
Toppings
- ½ cup candy eyeballs
Instructions
- Prepare the popcorn: Pour 10 cups of popped popcorn into a large mixing bowl, ensuring that no unpopped kernels remain for the best texture.
- Melt the sugar and butter: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine ½ cup packed brown sugar and ¼ cup butter. Stir frequently until the mixture melts and begins to bubble gently, being careful not to burn it.
- Add marshmallows: Stir in the entire 16-ounce bag of marshmallows into the brown sugar and butter mixture. Continue stirring until the marshmallows are fully melted and the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Color the slime: Add green food coloring a few drops at a time to the marshmallow mixture, stirring well to evenly distribute the vibrant green color until the desired shade is achieved.
- Coat the popcorn: Pour the green marshmallow mixture over the popcorn in the large bowl. Using a spatula or wooden spoon, stir gently but thoroughly until all the popcorn is evenly coated with the slime mixture.
- Spread and set: Transfer the coated popcorn onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Use spatula or hands sprayed lightly with cooking spray to spread it out evenly. Sprinkle ½ cup candy eyeballs over the top evenly while the coating is still warm.
- Cool and serve: Let the slime popcorn cool completely at room temperature until the coating sets and becomes firm, about 30 minutes. Once set, break into clusters and serve.
Notes
- For easier mixing and spreading, spray your hands or spatula with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- If you prefer a less sweet treat, adjust the amount of marshmallows or brown sugar accordingly.
- To store, keep the slime popcorn in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days to maintain freshness and crunch.
- Use caution while melting marshmallows as the mixture will be hot and sticky.
