Units Scale

Base Ingredients

    • 16 ounces sauerkraut, rinsed and squeezed dry
    • 8 ounces shredded corned beef
    • 16 ounces shredded Swiss cheese

Sauce Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup Thousand Island dressing

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 350℉ degrees to begin.
  2. Prepare the sauce: In a small bowl, thoroughly mix the mayonnaise and Thousand Island dressing. Set it aside.
  3. Layer the ingredients: Spread the rinsed and squeezed-dry sauerkraut evenly into a 9×13-inch baking dish. Top with shredded corned beef, followed by shredded Swiss cheese, and then pour the mayonnaise-dressing mixture over the top in an even layer.
  4. Bake: Place the dish in the oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the mixture is bubbly and the cheese is melted and slightly golden.

Notes

  • Make sure to drain and squeeze excess liquid out of the sauerkraut for the best texture.
  • Serve this dip warm with rye bread, crackers, or pretzels for a true Reuben experience.
  • This dip can be made ahead of time and baked right before serving.
