Ingredients

Units Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 (32-ounce) bag southern diced frozen hash browns (thawed)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (10.5-ounce) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 (11-ounce) container prepared pimento cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare a 9×13-inch baking dish by spraying it with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Combine the ingredients: In a large bowl, mix together the thawed hash browns, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, cream of chicken soup, heavy cream, and pimento cheese. Stir until all ingredients are well combined.
  3. Spread and cover: Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish and cover it tightly with aluminum foil.
  4. Bake the dish: Place the covered dish in the preheated oven and bake for 60 minutes.
  5. Remove foil and continue baking: Carefully remove the foil and bake uncovered for an additional 20 minutes, or until the potatoes are cooked through.
  6. Rest and serve: Allow the dish to rest for about 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Make sure the hash browns are fully thawed before mixing for even cooking.
  • If you want a crispier crust, broil the dish for a few minutes after baking.
  • Feel free to add extra spices or herbs for a personal touch.
