Description

Peanut Butter Monsters are delightful no-bake treats combining creamy peanut butter, marshmallow cream, and powdered sugar, dipped in vibrant green candy melts and decorated with candy eyes and purple sprinkles for a fun and festive monster look. Perfect for parties or a playful snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 6 Tablespoons butter, softened
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • ¼ cup marshmallow cream
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 cups powdered sugar

For Decorating

  • 1 bag green candy melts
  • 30 large candy eyes
  • Purple sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Peanut Butter Mixture: Beat together the softened butter, creamy peanut butter, marshmallow cream, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.
  2. Add Powdered Sugar: Slowly incorporate the powdered sugar into the peanut butter mixture, beating continuously to combine thoroughly and achieve a thick consistency suitable for rolling.
  3. Form the Balls: Roll the mixture evenly into 30 small balls. Place them on a tray or plate and refrigerate for at least one hour to firm up.
  4. Melt Candy Coating: Melt the green candy melts according to the package instructions, usually by heating in short intervals in the microwave and stirring until smooth.
  5. Dip and Decorate: Using a toothpick, dip each chilled peanut butter ball into the melted candy melts, fully coating them. Place the dipped balls onto parchment paper and carefully pull out the toothpick, using it to cover the hole and drag across the candy coating to create a furry texture.
  6. Add Eyes and Sprinkles: Immediately press one candy eye onto the front of each coated ball and sprinkle purple sprinkles on top. Allow the coating to set completely at room temperature or in the fridge.

Notes

  • Dip the peanut butter balls in batches, about 10 at a time, to keep the candy melts at the right consistency for dipping.
  • Make sure the peanut butter mixture is well chilled before dipping to ensure the coating adheres and sets properly.
  • Use parchment paper or a silicone mat to prevent sticking and ease cleanup.
  • Store finished monsters in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
