Description
A delicious and mouth-watering burger recipe known as Juicy Lucy, featuring cheese stuffed inside the patty for an incredible gooey and flavorful experience. Perfect for cookouts and casual dinners!
Ingredients
Scale
Juicy Lucy Ingredients
-
-
- 2 lbs. ground beef
- 2 tablespoons burger seasoning
- 6–12 slices American cheese
-
Juicy Lucy Extras
-
- 6 brioche buns
- Toppings: Lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles
- Sauces: Ketchup, mustard, mayo
Instructions
- Prepare the beef. Mix the spices into the ground beef using your hands. Divide the beef into 6 equal portions.
- Shape the patties. Form each portion into two thin patties—one smaller top patty and one larger bottom patty. Place 1-2 folded pieces of cheese on the bottom patty, then cover it with the smaller top patty and pinch the edges to seal.
- Cook the patties. Grill or pan fry the patties on medium heat for about 5 minutes, or until cooked to your desired doneness and the cheese inside is melted. To check, you may cut into one Juicy Lucy to test for the doneness of both the beef and cheese.
- Rest the burgers. Let the Juicy Lucys rest for a minute or two. This step is crucial to prevent the cheese from exploding out when bitten into.
- Assemble and serve. Serve the cooked patties on brioche buns with your favorite toppings and sauces, such as lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, ketchup, mustard, or mayo.
Notes
- Make sure the edges of the patties are sealed tightly to prevent cheese from leaking out during cooking.
- Use medium heat for even cooking and to avoid burning the outside of the patties before the cheese inside melts.
- Letting the burgers rest after cooking is essential to avoid burns from the hot cheese filling.
