Description

For the Egg Wash:

  • 4 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon water, room temperature

For Assembly:

  • 12 (1 ounce) mozzarella string cheese sticks, cut in half
  • Olive oil cooking spray

Garnish:

  • 1/41/2 cup bottled ranch dressing

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Hot Cheeto Crumbs: Add the Flamin’ Hot Cheetos to a food processor and pulse until fine crumbs form. Transfer to a dish for coating.
  2. Prepare the Coating: Combine flour and salt in a dish. Set aside.
  3. Prepare the Egg Wash: Whisk eggs and water in another dish. Set aside.
  4. Coat the Cheese Sticks: Dip cheese sticks in egg wash, then flour, back in egg wash, and finally in Hot Cheeto crumbs. Freeze for 50 minutes.
  5. Air Fry the Cheese Sticks: Preheat air fryer, spray cheese sticks with olive oil, and fry in batches until crunchy, about 5-7 minutes per batch.
  6. Serve: Plate the Hot Cheeto Cheese Sticks with ranch dressing for dipping.
