Delicious and easy Honey Garlic Butter Shrimp and Broccoli recipe that’s perfect for a quick weeknight dinner. The succulent shrimp are coated in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce, served with tender broccoli over rice or pasta.


Ingredients

For the Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch

For the Shrimp and Broccoli:

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled, deveined, tails removed
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups chopped broccoli
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, red pepper flakes, and cornstarch.
  2. Marinate Shrimp: Coat shrimp with 1/3 of the sauce.
  3. Thicken Sauce: Whisk cornstarch into the reserved marinade.
  4. Cook Broccoli: Sauté broccoli in a hot skillet with olive oil, salt, and pepper until soft.
  5. Cook Shrimp: Cook shrimp in butter until pink on both sides.
  6. Simmer Sauce: Add reserved sauce, simmer until thickened.
  7. Combine: Toss in broccoli, heat through.
  8. Serve: Over rice or pasta.

Notes

  • Marinate shrimp for 30 minutes for extra flavor.
  • Jumbo 16/20 shrimp recommended, but any size will work.
  • Shrimp tails can be left on for more flavor and presentation.
  • Use fresh or thawed frozen broccoli, pat dry before cooking.
