			Main Ingredients
- 2 shots espresso (or 1/2 cup hot freshly brewed coffee)
- 1 cup milk of choice (preferably a frothing milk like oat milk)
- 1 to 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree
- 1 to 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Whipped cream for topping (optional)
For Pumpkin Pie Spice Substitute
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves or allspice
Instructions
- Heat the Milk: Pour 1 cup of your chosen milk into a small pot and warm it over medium-low heat until it’s hot and nearly simmering, making sure not to bring it to a boil.
- Prepare the Espresso Mixture: Brew 2 shots of espresso and pour them into a large mug or glass mason jar. Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of pumpkin puree, 1 to 2 tablespoons of maple syrup, 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Stir the mixture until fully combined.
- Froth the Milk: Use a milk frother to froth the heated milk for about 30 seconds or until it’s nicely foamy. Pour the frothed milk into the mug over the pumpkin espresso mixture, reserving some foam.
- Assemble and Garnish: Spoon the reserved foam on top of the latte. Optionally, add whipped cream and sprinkle additional pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon on top for extra flavor and presentation.
Notes
- If you don’t have pre-made pumpkin pie spice, make your own by mixing 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg, 1/8 teaspoon ginger, and 1/8 teaspoon cloves or allspice.
- You can substitute espresso with strong brewed coffee if preferred.
- Use a milk that froths well, such as oat milk, for the best texture.
- Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of maple syrup according to taste.
