Description

These Halloween Pizzas are fun, festive mini pizzas perfect for celebrating the spooky season. Using a simple no-rise pizza dough, these pizzas are quick to prepare and can be decorated with your favorite toppings to create Halloween-themed designs. Perfect for parties or a fun family meal, they offer a delicious and creative way to enjoy homemade pizza.

Ingredients

Scale

No-Rise Pizza Crust

  • 1 3/4 to 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 envelope Fleischmann’s Pizza Yeast
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cup very warm water
  • 3 Tablespoons vegetable oil or canola oil

Toppings

  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 1/2 pound fresh mozzarella cheese
  • Desired pizza toppings: pepperoni, bell peppers, olives, onion, pineapple, parsley, salami, Canadian bacon

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven. Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C) to ensure it’s hot enough for quick baking of the pizzas, which helps create a crisp crust.
  2. Prepare Dough Mixture. Combine 1 cup of flour, undissolved yeast, sugar, and salt in a large bowl. Add the warm water and oil, mixing for about one minute until everything is well blended.
  3. Knead Dough. Gradually add the remaining flour until a soft dough forms. The dough should form a ball and be slightly sticky. Transfer to a floured surface and knead for about 4 minutes until smooth and elastic, adding more flour if needed.
  4. Divide Dough. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions, preparing for individual mini pizzas.
  5. Shape and Parbake Crusts. Roll or pat each portion into an 8-inch circle and place them on greased baking sheets. Bake for 5-6 minutes until the dough is just set and lightly browned on the bottom.
  6. Add Sauce and Toppings. Remove the crusts from the oven and spread each with pizza sauce. Top with fresh mozzarella and your choice of toppings arranged into fun Halloween designs.
  7. Bake Final Pizzas. Return the topped pizzas to the oven and bake for another 5-8 minutes, until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and toppings are cooked through.

Notes

  • The pizza sauce can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • All toppings can be pre-chopped and kept in separate airtight containers in the fridge for convenience.
  • The dough can be prepared several hours in advance and stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
  • For freezing: assemble the pizza on the parbaked crust, cover tightly, and freeze for up to 2 months. Bake directly from frozen, adding a few extra minutes to the baking time.
