Ingredients
Scale
Witches Hats Dough
- 8 oz crescent rolls
- 2 tablespoon butter (melted)
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 tablespoon Parmesan cheese (finely grated)
Garnish
- 4 oz cheddar cheese (cut into strips)
- 8 black olives (sliced)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C/Gas Mark 5) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prepare for baking.
- Shape Crescent Rolls: Unroll the 8 oz crescent rolls and separate each triangle. Roll the wide end of each triangle a couple of times to form the brim of the witch’s hat, then slightly round the tips to complete the hat shape. Repeat with all triangles.
- Prepare Butter Mixture: In a small bowl, combine 2 tablespoons melted butter with ½ teaspoon garlic powder and ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning, mixing well to blend the flavors.
- Brush and Sprinkle: Brush the seasoned butter mixture over each shaped crescent roll hat. Then sprinkle 2 tablespoons of finely grated Parmesan cheese evenly on top of each hat.
- Bake: Place the prepared hats on the lined baking sheet and bake them in the preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 8-10 minutes, or until they turn golden brown.
- Cool: Remove the baked hats from the oven and allow them to cool completely before decorating, ensuring the toppings adhere properly.
- Decorate: Once cooled, place strips of cheddar cheese onto each hat to resemble a band, then top each with a slice of black olive to represent the buckle.
- Serve: Serve the witches hats immediately for best taste and presentation.
Notes
- For larger batches, multiply ingredients by 2 or 3 as needed without changing the preparation method.
- Ensure the crescent rolls are fully cooled before adding the cheddar and olive to prevent melting or slipping.
- You can substitute the cheddar cheese with any firm cheese of your choice for different flavor profiles.
- Use freshly grated Parmesan cheese for better melting and flavor.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat briefly before serving to maintain crispness.
