Description

Delightfully festive Cornflake Wreaths are a quick and easy holiday treat made with buttery marshmallow-coated cornflakes shaped into charming wreaths and decorated with cinnamon candies. Perfect for Christmas celebrations, these no-bake snacks come together in just minutes and bring a vibrant, sweet touch to your holiday dessert table.

Ingredients

Scale

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup salted butter
  • 10 ounces mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon green food coloring (add more for deeper color)

Dry Ingredients

  • 5-6 cups cornflakes
  • 72 cinnamon imperials (red hots) or mini M&M’s

Instructions

  1. Melt Butter and Marshmallows: In a large pan over medium heat, melt 1/2 cup salted butter. Once melted, add 10 ounces of mini marshmallows and stir continuously until the marshmallows are completely melted and smooth.
  2. Add Flavor and Color: Remove the pan from heat. Stir in 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract and 1/2 teaspoon green food coloring. Mix until the color is consistent, adding more food coloring if you want a deeper green hue.
  3. Combine with Cornflakes: Add 5-6 cups of cornflakes to the melted marshmallow mixture. Stir gently but thoroughly until all cornflakes are evenly coated with the green marshmallow mixture.
  4. Form Wreath Shapes: Line a baking dish or countertop with parchment paper. Butter your hands to prevent sticking, then scoop about a 2-inch spoonful of the mixture and shape it into a wreath with a hole in the middle. Place each shaped wreath on the parchment paper.
  5. Decorate Wreaths: Place 3 cinnamon imperials on one corner of each wreath to resemble festive berries. Let the wreaths cool and set completely.
  6. Store: Once set, store the wreaths in a covered container at room temperature. They will stay fresh for up to 5 days.

Notes

  • These wreaths are a simple, no-bake holiday treat perfect for kids and last-minute holiday parties.
  • Butter your hands each time before shaping wreaths to prevent sticking.
  • Red cinnamon imperials add a classic holiday touch, but mini M&M’s can be used as a colorful alternative.
  • You can adjust the food coloring intensity to get the perfect festive green shade.
  • Store treat in an airtight container to maintain freshness and chewiness.
