Description

This Easy Monkey Bread recipe is a delightful and simple treat made using Grands Cinnamon Rolls, coated in a buttery brown sugar mixture. It’s perfect for any occasion and takes just 40 minutes to make!

Ingredients

Units Scale

Main Ingredients

    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
    • 2 cans Grands Cinnamon Rolls

Sauce

  • 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 cup butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven and prepare the pan: Heat the oven to 350°F and lightly grease a cake or fluted bundt pan to avoid sticking.
  2. Mix the coating: Add sugar and cinnamon to a large Ziploc bag. Mix well to combine evenly.
  3. Prepare the dough: Separate the cinnamon roll dough and cut each piece into quarters for smaller, bite-sized pieces.
  4. Coat the dough: Place the dough pieces into the Ziploc bag and shake them thoroughly to coat each piece with the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Remove the coated dough and arrange them uniformly in the prepared pan.
  5. Create the sauce: In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and melted butter until you have a smooth mixture. Pour this evenly over the cinnamon roll pieces in the pan.
  6. Bake the monkey bread: Bake in the preheated oven for 28 to 32 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and no longer doughy in the center.
  7. Cool and serve: Allow the monkey bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then, carefully turn it upside down onto a serving plate. Pull apart to serve while it’s warm. Optionally, top with the icing included with the Grands Cinnamon Rolls for extra sweetness.

Notes

  • You can top the monkey bread with the icing that comes with the Grands Cinnamon Rolls for an added treat.
  • Be careful not to overbake, as the bread can become dry. Check for doneness by looking for a golden-brown exterior and a non-doughy center.
  • For added flavor, consider sprinkling chopped nuts or raisins between layers.
  • Best served while warm for the freshest taste.
