			Fresh Ingredients
- 6 ounces fresh cranberries
- 3 medium green onions, chopped
- 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and sliced
Dried and Dairy Alternatives
- 1/3 cup dried cranberries
- 8 ounces vegan cream cheese
- 1/4 cup unsweetened vegan yogurt or vegan sour cream
Additional Ingredients
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar (more or less to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Chop Cranberries and Vegetables: Place the fresh cranberries, dried cranberries, chopped green onions, and sliced jalapeno pepper into a food processor. Pulse several times until the mixture is very finely chopped, ensuring the ingredients are well combined but still retaining some texture.
- Prepare Cream Cheese Mixture: Transfer the vegan cream cheese into a medium-sized bowl. Using a hand mixer or a spoon, soften and cream the vegan cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Then add granulated sugar, salt, and unsweetened vegan yogurt or sour cream to the cream cheese. Beat together until fully incorporated and fluffy.
- Combine Mixtures: Add the finely chopped cranberry and jalapeno mixture to the bowl containing the cream cheese blend. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly combined, forming a uniform dip.
- Serve and Store: Serve the dip immediately with crackers or bread for dipping. If storing leftovers, keep them in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to two days. Stir the dip before serving again to maintain consistency.
Notes
- Philadelphia vegan cream cheese works well, but Violife, Miyoko’s, and Tofutti brands are excellent alternatives.
- Use unsweetened and unflavored vegan yogurt or vegan sour cream to avoid altering the dip’s flavor; avoid vanilla or sweetened varieties.
- Homemade vegan cream cheese or tofu cream cheese recipes are also suitable substitutes.
- To reduce sweetness, you can omit the sugar and dried cranberries as desired.
