Ingredients
Scale
Cinnamon Roll Layer
- 1 can Grands! Cinnamon Rolls
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
Brown Sugar Butter Glaze
- ½ cup (113g) unsalted butter, melted
- ⅓ cup (67g) packed brown sugar
Icing
- 1 can icing from cinnamon rolls (reserved)
- 1 tablespoon orange juice (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray a 9-10 inch pie plate with nonstick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Prepare the Cinnamon Rolls: Open the can of cinnamon rolls and reserve the icing for later. Slice each cinnamon roll into 6 pieces; the pieces will likely fall apart and that’s perfectly fine for layering.
- Layer the Bake: Arrange the cinnamon roll pieces and fresh cranberries alternately in the prepared pie plate, distributing them evenly.
- Make the Glaze: In a small bowl, stir together the melted butter and packed brown sugar until smooth and well combined. Pour this mixture evenly over the layered cinnamon rolls and cranberries.
- Bake: Place the pie plate in the oven and bake for 30 to 34 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cinnamon rolls are fully cooked through.
- Prepare and Add Icing: While warm, stir the optional orange juice into the reserved icing to add a citrusy twist. Drizzle this icing generously over the baked cinnamon roll dish.
- Serve and Store: Serve warm for the best flavor and texture. Store any leftovers covered tightly at room temperature for up to 3 days.
Notes
- Fresh cranberries add a tart contrast but can be substituted with dried cranberries if fresh are unavailable, though the texture will differ.
- Adding orange juice to the icing enhances the flavor with a bright citrus note, but it can be omitted if preferred.
- Use a pie plate size between 9-10 inches to ensure even baking and proper depth of the layers.
- Leftover bake can be reheated briefly in the microwave or oven for a warm treat.
- This dish is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored tightly covered for up to three days.
