Main Ingredients
-
- 2 cans crescent roll dough
- 2 Tbsp butter, melted
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp light brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2–3 Tbsp flour, for rolling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F to get it ready for baking.
- Prepare the dough: Open both cans of croissant dough and roll them out on a floured surface, removing any perforations so you have a smooth sheet of dough.
- Make the cinnamon-sugar mixture: In a small bowl, mix together the sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon until evenly combined.
- Layer and assemble: Spread a small amount of the melted butter onto one layer of croissant dough and sprinkle it with half of the sugar mixture. Then, place the second layer of croissant dough on top.
- Shape the cruffins: Slice the layered dough into long strips. Roll each strip up, similar to how you would roll a cinnamon roll.
- Dip in butter and cinnamon sugar: Dip each rolled strip into the remaining melted butter, then coat with the remaining cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Place in muffin tin: Place each roll into a prepared muffin tin. Make sure to spray the tin with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Bake the cruffins: Bake them in the oven for approximately 20 minutes, or until the cruffins turn a beautiful golden brown.
- Cool and serve: Once baked, remove the cruffins from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy this delicious treat!
Notes
- You can use parchment paper liners in the muffin tin for easier removal.
- Adjust the amount of cinnamon to your preference if you like a stronger or milder cinnamon flavor.
- Serve warm for the best taste!
