- Cut Gumdrops: Halve the red and green gumdrops and set them aside for later mixing into the nougat base.
- Melt Ingredients: Create a double boiler by placing a heatproof bowl securely over a saucepan with gently simmering water. Add butter, white chocolate chips, and mini marshmallows into the bowl. Stir continuously over indirect medium heat until the mixture is smooth and fully melted without boiling or cooking it, ensuring a creamy, even consistency.
- Cool Mixture: Remove the bowl from heat and allow the melted mixture to cool for about 2 minutes, so it’s easier to mix with gumdrops.
- Add Gumdrops: Stir the chopped gumdrops thoroughly into the melted mixture to evenly distribute the festive candies.
