  • 1 3/4 cups heavy cream, well chilled
  • 12 oz. cream cheese, slightly softened
  • 1 1/4 cups (160g) powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Berries:

  • 16 oz. fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 18 oz. fresh blueberries
  • 6 oz fresh raspberries, optional

Garnish:

  • Mint leaves, optional

Instructions

  1. Slice the Angel Food Cake: Slice angel food cake into 3/4-inch thick slices.
  2. Prepare Lemon Honey Mixture: In a small bowl, mix lemon juice, lemon zest, and honey. Brush mixture over both sides of the cake slices.
  3. Cut and Set Aside: Cut cake slices into cubes and set aside.
  4. Whip Heavy Cream: Whip chilled heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  5. Prepare Cream Cheese Mixture: In another bowl, whip cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until fluffy.
  6. Combine Mixtures: Fold whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture.
  7. Assemble Trifle: Layer cake pieces, blueberries, whipped cream mixture, and strawberries in a trifle dish. Repeat layering.
  8. Final Touch: Top with remaining berries and mint leaves before serving.
