- 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg (optional)
- Pinch of Kosher Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Bean Paste or extract

- 1 tablespoon Banana Simple Syrup (or to preference)
- 1/2 cup Oat Milk or other non-dairy milk
- Ice Cubes
Instructions
- Prepare Banana Simple Syrup: In a small pan, combine mashed bananas, brown sugar, water, and a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil, then simmer until sugar dissolves, about 10 minutes. Strain the mixture, add vanilla, and let it cool.
- Assemble Banana Latte: Pour syrup into a glass, add ice, pour in milk. Brew espresso and pour over milk. Stir well and adjust sweetness with more syrup if desired. Enjoy!
- For Hot Latte: Froth and steam the milk, omit the ice.
Notes
- This syrup recipe yields about 1 ½ cups.
- Cool syrup to room temperature for iced drinks. Can be used in hot drinks immediately, but cooling prevents crystalizing.
