Oysters
- 24 shucked oysters
Seasoning and Toppings
- Creole seasoning, to taste
- 1/2 cup finely shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup finely shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit to ensure it’s ready for baking the oysters.
- Prepare Baking Sheet: Take a large rimmed baking sheet and place a large crinkled piece of aluminum foil inside it. The foil should fill the entire pan and create a surface to hold the oysters in place during baking.
- Arrange Oysters: Place the shucked oysters evenly spaced on the prepared baking sheet, resting on the crinkled foil.
- Season and Cheese: Sprinkle each oyster with a pinch of creole seasoning. Then add about 1 teaspoon each of finely shredded Parmesan and sharp cheddar cheese on top of each oyster.
- Bake: Put the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the oysters for approximately 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly with a golden brown color.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove the oysters from the oven and immediately sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the top to add a fresh, vibrant finish. Serve warm.
