Description

This easy and healthy Air Fryer Shrimp recipe features perfectly seasoned, juicy shrimp cooked quickly in the air fryer for a delicious weeknight meal. With simple spices and minimal oil, it’s a fast and flavorful dish that’s perfect for seafood lovers.

Ingredients

Scale

Seasoning Mix

  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (or ¼ teaspoon garlic powder)

Main

  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined, tails removed

Instructions

  1. Prepare the seasoning mix: Whisk together Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and onion powder in a small bowl. Stir in the minced garlic to combine all the spices evenly.
  2. Season the shrimp: Ensure the shrimp are peeled, deveined, and tails removed. Toss the shrimp with olive oil and the prepared seasoning mix until evenly coated.
  3. Air fry the shrimp: Arrange the seasoned shrimp in a single layer inside the air fryer basket. Set the air fryer to 400°F and cook for 4 minutes.
  4. Check and finish cooking: After 4 minutes, check the shrimp. If they are not fully cooked, gently shake the basket and continue cooking. The total cook time ranges from 4 to 8 minutes depending on shrimp size. Shrimp is done when it is pink on both sides and curls into a gentle “C” shape.
  5. Serve immediately: Remove the shrimp from the air fryer and serve hot. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator for later use.
