Description

These Air Fryer Salmon Patties are a delicious and healthy way to enjoy fresh salmon. Made with almond flour and simple seasonings, these gluten-free and dairy-free patties are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Perfect served with a side salad or on a burger bun for a satisfying lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

Salmon Patties

  • 1 small salmon fillet, skin removed (about 5 ounces)
  • 2/3 cup almond flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 medium-sized onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • Non-stick cooking spray, for air fryer basket and patties

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Salmon Mixture: Cut the salmon fillet into a few pieces and place them along with almond flour, egg, chopped onion, chopped fresh chives, lemon juice, garlic powder, kosher salt, and ground black pepper into a food processor.
  2. Pulse Ingredients: Process on high until the ingredients are combined but still have small pieces of salmon, onion, and chives visible to maintain texture.
  3. Form Patties: Shape the mixture into 4 equal patties, each about 3 inches in diameter.
  4. Refrigerate Patties: Place the patties in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to help them firm up and hold their shape during cooking.
  5. Prepare Air Fryer: Spray the air fryer basket with non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  6. Arrange Patties: Place the salmon patties in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not overlap. Spray the tops of the patties lightly with cooking spray.
  7. Air Fry: Cook the patties at 400°F for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through if desired, until they are cooked through and crispy on the outside.
  8. Serve: Remove the patties from the air fryer and serve immediately with your choice of sides such as a fresh salad or on a burger bun.

Notes

  • These patties are made with fresh salmon and almond flour, making them gluten-free and dairy-free.
  • No breadcrumbs or crackers are used, providing a low-carb alternative to traditional salmon patties.
  • Ensure patties are chilled before cooking to help them hold together better in the air fryer.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste, adding herbs or spices as preferred.
  • Serve with a light salad or sandwich buns for a complete meal.
