Description

These crispy Air Fryer Fried Pickles are a delicious and healthier alternative to traditional fried pickles. Perfectly seasoned and air-fried to a golden-brown, they make a fantastic appetizer or snack for any occasion.

Ingredients

Units Scale

Ingredients:

  • 1 (32 oz) jar sliced dill pickles, drained
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Ranch dressing, optional, for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F for 5 minutes.
  2. Drain the pickles: Drain the pickles on a plate lined with a paper towel to soak up excess juice.
  3. Prepare the flour mixture: Whisk together flour, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, salt, paprika, and cayenne powder in a shallow bowl.
  4. Coat the pickles: Toss pickle slices in the flour mixture and shake off excess.
  5. Air fry the pickles: Spray air fryer basket, layer pickles, spray tops with cooking spray, and air-fry for 5 minutes. Flip pickles, spray again, and air-fry for 4-5 more minutes.
  6. Serve: Serve immediately with ranch dressing if desired.

Notes

  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket for crispy results.
  • Use olive oil nonstick spray for browning.
  • Drain excess juice from pickles before coating.
  • For a different flavor, try tossing pickles in mustard before coating.
  • Best served fresh or store in the fridge for up to 3 days.
